The Joint Committee on Health Care Financing is responsible for health-related bills which might affect the state budget. They've extended their reporting deadline to 18 March, but that is not a reason to relax -- it's actually bad news. They snoozed and let the bill die on their watch in both 2022 and in 2024. Even if they actually do report it favorably in late-March, it still has to go through House Ways & Means before the beginning of April... not likely to happen.
They are holding a hearing on 15 January -- Call them and tell them to use their Executive Session right after that hearing to actually take action on PSYPACT.
Note that some of the members here are also on the Joint Committee on Public Health. (Sen. William Driscoll and Sen. Julian Cyr voted in favor of PSYPACT, Sen. Kelly Dooner abstained; Rep. Hannah Kane voted in favor. And Rep. Lindsay N. Sabadosa sponsored the bill (yay!)) That doesn't mean we should let them off the hook -- call them and tell them how important it is that they finish the work they have started!).
The Senate bill (S.1487) has been sent to W&M. The House bill (H.2528) has been sent to Health Care Financing.

If your legislators aren't on the committee, you can still help!
