These are the folks who are officially In Charge in the State House.  Supposedly, if they want something to happen, it happens, and if they don't think it's important, it doesn't happen.  If you are so lucky as to have one of them on your local ballot, call them now, tell them how important it is to you that the PSYPACT bills be advanced NOW, and how much you are going to remember, and how much you will tell all your neighbors -- about their help -- or lack thereof -- when it comes to election time.

Not sure who your legislator is?  For easier scanning, here's a town-by-town list.  If you live in one of the towns below, you have a legislator in leadership (and/or who is a sponsor of one of the bills).  (If it's indented and purple, you might -- check here to see if your address is in their district).

Don't assume that just because a legislator is on a committee that voted in favor, that they themselves voted in favor, or even that they sponsored a bill, that there's nothing to do.  They still need to hear from all of us!

Tell them something like this... “Please get the House Health Care Financing Committee and the Senate Ways and Means Committee to give H.2528 and S.1487, allowing Massachusetts to finally join the professional psychology interjurisdictional compact, to actually report on these bills and advance them to a floor vote.  Joining PSYPACT will fix a long-standing bug that is preventing MA residents from accessing and maintaining access to high-quality mental health care.  I care about this because  <briefly tell your own story or a story you know from a friend about how awful it is under the present system>. The Joint Committee on Public Health already reported these bills favorably, the fiscal impact is trivial, and 43 other states have already implemented PSYPACT without any serious financial consequences.  In fact, it will probably save money.”  (more on this topic has been added to the Advocacy Toolkit)
